Its essence, causes, forms of manifestation, and regulation ways can be understood only through a thorough clarification of the nature of society, particularly of man, the laws of social relations, and human interaction. The author analyzes the content of “military conflict” and “armed conflict” and determines their correlation. Conclusions. To sum up, we can say that society cannot exist without conflict. It is impossible to categorically call conflict a manifestation of organizations’ dysfunction with deviant behavior of individuals and groups, a phenomenon of life; rather, conflict is a necessary form of social interaction for people. The military conflict in Ukraine has long since outgrown the status of a regional one. In terms of its ongoing impact and likely consequences, it is a global event that is changing the political look of not only the European community but international relations as a whole. The continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian war could undermine global security and stability in the world. The conflict has called into doubt the values and principles of the world order, which are subject to rethinking.
